Marine Field Trip Report

Assalamualaikum....

Hello, I am Indah Mafaza Maulidina, I am a student from the Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, a study program of the Tour & Travel Study Program Diploma 4, third semester .

I will share my Marine Field Trip activities on October 10-11, 2019 on this blog. This Marine Field Trip is a learning activity that is diverted off campus.

The first day

On the first day, at 06.00 we were absent by the Tour Leader on our beloved campus, the Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, after the absence of the Luggage Tag & Id Card distributed by the Tour Leader. After that we were given direction by the Advisor before boarding the bus. At 07.00 we left for Tanjung Indah Dock, located in the Barru Regency.

At 09.45 we arrived at Tanjung Indah Dock, Barru Regency. Then cross to Dutungan Island its about 10 minutes using a small boat.

Before doing Diving & Snorkeling we were given directions in order to be able to do Diving in a good and right way.

After doing diving and snorkeling we also observed on the Dutungan Island and also played games together.

After the activities on Dutungan Island were finished, we returned to Tanjung Indah Dock and headed to the Delima Sari Hotel in Pare Pare City.

At 17:30 we arrived at the Delima Sari Hotel and entered our respective rooms. At 19.00 we headed to the Ayam Penyet Ria Restaurant on foot because it was only 5 minutes away from Delima Sari Hotel.

After Dinner, we also gave a presentation about handling K3 and also how to handle guests of the Marine Tour group and also conduct Entertainment.

After all activities were finished we went back to our rooms to rest.

The second day

We gathered in the hotel lobby at 05.00 to do the Morning Exercise. At 05.05 we walked to the Habibi & Ainun monument its about 20 minutes from the Delima Sari Hotel.

After the Morning Exercise was finished we returned to the hotel and got ready to check out from Delima Sari Hotel, before checking out we had breakfast first. After all the participants finished breakfast we went to their respective buses to go to Paputo Beach.

At Paputo Beach we make observations and also relax.

Then we headed to Teras Empang for lunch. From Paputo beach to Teras Empang only takes 5 minutes.

After finishing lunch at Teras Empang we also returned to the beloved campus Makassar Tourism Polytechnic.

Then the Marine Field Trip ended this time.

Nature Field Trip Report

Hello, I am Indah Mafaza Maulidina, I am a student of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, third semester of the Tour and Travel Study Program Diploma 4.

I will share my Nature Field Trip activities on October 14-16, 2019 on this blog. I hope you enjoy it.

First day

At the first day we gathered at Orange Building of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic and loading to North Toraja Regency. From Makassar City to North Toraja its about 10 hours by bus, and we having lunch at Kupa Beach Restaurant in Barru Regency. We got welcome drink before we enjoy the lunch. The food was very delicious and the view on restaurant was very awasome. Me and my friends very enjoy it.

After lunch we continue our trip to Enrekang Regency. In Enrekang Regency we had coffee break, and the view was very awasome as well. You can see my picture to prove it.

After that we continue our trip to Toraja Indra Hotel, check in, dinner and over night.

Second day

On second day we going to Timenbayo to see the spectacular scenery. After enjoy the beautiful scenery we proceed to Lokomata to see the wonderful stone burial side.

After that we do soft trakking to the Mentirotiku Restaurant, having lunch papiong (local food). After lunch we countinue our soft trakking from Lempo to Bori. And we had spectacular soft trakking because we show the daily life Toraja people like mutual work,

tedong bonga, try palm wine, and see how to make toraja carving. We also passed rice field and enjoying the view.

We see baby grave as well. After the activities is finished we return to the hotel, dinner and take a rest.

Third day

We got ready for check out and arrive back to Makassar city. We stop for lunch on Teras Empang Parepare city.

After having lunch we continue our trip to Makassar City. Afternoon arrived in Makassar and returned to our respective homes.
